ELECAM Board Chairman, Enow Abrams Egbe in a press conference in Yaounde today said the October 7 presidential elections in the entire country were transparent.


In His own words he said
The general observation reveals that the elections where conducted free and fair in an atmosphere of serenity and calm this enabled the polling stations to conduct vote counting in a conducive environment which reports were forwarded to the divisional supervisory commission as per the provisions of section 62 of the electoral code.

Enow Abrams Egbe said the Constitutional Council is currently counting the votes and demands all candidates to wait for the official proclamation of the final results.

The ELECAM Board Chairman further cautioned that if 2018 is a year of major political events then the same could be said of 2019 which is marked by greater challenges; the Legislative and Municipal Elections.
