Those that do the will of God belong to God and they will be different from others. Many are called but few are chosen. Those who are chosen will not be snatched out of His hand. It is important to dwell in the word and remain in Him. You need to be original. In troubles, we come know that we are really blessed. Do not see trouble and say it is over but say - I am blessed.
Luke 16:16 - “The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing their way into it. (Also Matthew 11:12)
Many were taught to take it by force but Jesus has come to teach us the right way. Many strive violently to enter the kingdom yet this is not the right way.
It is not God’s way to be violent. Can you go to a car dealer and take a car by force? Do it and let us see if you will not go to jail.
When God speaks we must understand His voice. Is it right that people should be violent? It means Mathew and Luke were criticising each other but they were not.
In the Old Testament, there was violence. An example, David cut off 400 men’s foreskins. In Jeremiah, the words says, “to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant” (Jeremiah 1:10). But in the New Testament, “we let them grow together” (Matthew 13:30). That is how we can see the difference.
We do not pray for the death of the enemy but we enjoy and delight. We eat because God has given us delight on the table and those standing will be too tired because they are standing (Psalm 23).
The word does not say be violent; violence is the fruit of sin. When they enter violently, it is their way and not God’s way (Isaiah 55). God did not teach us violence. The kingdom of God can penetrate any Kingdom but cannot be penetrated. It goes anywhere. Do we have to take it violently? In Galatians 5, Paul wrote “that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God”. If it is God’s way it must be by the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16).
In Matthew 11, Jesus said “Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”
Those found inside are born of water and spirit, and they walk by the spirit producing the fruit of the Spirit. They are in the New and not the Old.
It is just like when people get married and say, “until death do us apart”. Why put death in marriage? Show me the scripture that says till death do us apart. When you mention violence in your marriage, you are waiting for the fulfilment of death.
The kingdom is attacked because it is new. They will attack you because you have come with a new thing. The more they attack it is the more it grows.
Did you get born again by violence? No, but by meekness because you surrendered unto Jesus. People were used to the law and when grace came they started fighting. You must read it correctly; it is not English but the Holy Spirit.
The desires of the flesh oppose the spirit. The old does not agree with the new. The law and grace do not agree, they are in conflict with each other.
We are not subject to the law because we walk by the spirit. When you are violent there is no time for grace. You do not need force because God gives it to you by grace. You do not have to work for grace; no need to strive.
Those who walk according to the desires of the flesh will not enter the kingdom of God. Try God’s way and not force your own way. If you are taught to be violent then take even cars and houses and food by force and let us see how it will end. There is no law against the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
God used to speak through prophets but now He speaks in the form of the Son (Hebrew 1). If Christ speaks it is grace. Paul, the bond servant of Christ, wrote, “When I Stand and speak it is no longer I but Christ”. Many are called but few are chosen. Apostles are called and bond servants are chosen.
Many will stand and speak but people will not listen. Let the Christ be formed in you and people will listen. Let Christ speak and not the law.
When we teach this, the devil fights because now the people will stop being violent and take the nature of God. This is the old time gospel that existed before the law and the prophets. Remember, we have been chosen before the world began.
“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). The moment one says amen they are drawn in agreement even if it is demons. When the Holy Spirit leaves a person, He does not be violent or announce; He just leaves.
In John 18, they came looking for Jesus in order to arrest Him. Jesus then came forth and manifested the God kind of image. In meekness He said, “Leave the ones I am with and take me”. Peter became violent but Jesus rebuked and told him that a time is coming and has come where violence is not to be used but the sword of the spirit which is the word.
I have taught people how to handle persecution without being violent. Everything that happens, delight in it; knowing that God is blessing you through it. For now keep the sword or weapon. This is the sword of the spirit out of your mouth. The word was with God. Violence will not work but the sword of the Spirit (The word) will work. We go in with humility - God’s way, not our way.
The water is the word and there more you speak it there more you are washed by the word.
