According to confirmed reports, the man committed the act on Sunday but finally reported himself at the Swiss consulate in Yaounde on Wednesday.

On getting the news, police authorities’ immediately rushed to his Mimboman residence, where they found the bodies of the three children already in a state of decomposition. The children all, 14, 6 and 2 years of age respectively, were reportedly strangled and then stabbed to dead by their father.

The Swiss self-acclaimed murderer had been living in Switzerland for 20 years and had recently decided to return to Cameroon with his family. On Friday, October 27, he had allegedly sacked the housekeeper, stating that he could take care of the children on his own, given that their mother, an Indian, was in Switzerland preparing their evacuation documents.

The children have been buried and investigations are still ongoing.
