Her musical talents have entertained Americans and the world at large – but it was her latest crooning of the America anthem: ‘America the Beautiful’ that left spectators in ecstasy, appetising them before the kickoff.
As per tradition, WrestleMania invites a pop star or legendary singer to open the annual spectacle for the rendition of the anthem. John Legend, Fifth Harmony, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles have been bestowed the rare honour to open the act.
Announcing the enrolment of Tinashe for the gig, WWE said: “WWE today announced the platinum selling singer, songwriter, producer and entertainer Tinashe will perform ‘America the Beautiful,’ kicking off WrestleMania 33 on Sunday, April 2 in front of a sold-out crowd at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida and live around the world on WWE Network.”

“Being part of WWE’s biggest event of the year is an honour and I look forward to seeing everyone in Orlando,” said Tinashe.
The vocalist has just released her latest single offering, “Flame”, following her acclaimed “Nightride” project made late last year.
Born in 1993, Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe to a Zimbabwean migrant father, she launched her entertainment career aged three when she began modeling and acting.
In was her musical debut “Aquarius” in 2014 that enticed the attention of musical critics. Her acting roles included a performance in Two and Half Men and The Polar Express alongside Tom Hanks.
In 2007, Tinashe joined girl group The Stunners, founded by Vitamin C. Her band mates were friends Marisol Esparza, Allie Gonino, Hayley Kiyoko, and Kelsey Sanders. Six months after their formation, the group signed with Columbia Records.
In late January 2015, Tinashe was reported working with writers and producers from Prescription Songs — Dr. Luke's publishing company. On March 16, 2015, Tinashe released a seven-song mix tape entitled Amethyst for free download.
“I write a lot of it in my car, that's just a very inspiring place to listen to music. I think it puts me in the zone. I just think of melodies usually and then lyrics come after. Sometimes really easily, and then sometimes I'll have a melody for a week before I come up with any lyrics so it just kind of depends,” she revealed.
Tinashe still resides at home with her family in a suburb 30 miles north of Los Angeles. – Additional Reporting from Online Sources
