Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz late Saturday predicted a "bloodbath of Walter Mondale proportions" if front-runner Donald Trump wins the party's nomination.
Cruz stressed his electability at a Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Las Vegas, according to multiple reports.
Cruz said "delegate math" favors his campaign, according to CNN, adding that he has a legitimate path to the White House.
He also focused on control of the Senate with Trump as the nominee, the cable TV network reported.
"If the top of the ticket is blown out of the water by 10 points, we're losing the Senate," Cruz said. "And there's not a thing that can be done to stop it."

Trump also said he would move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, the newspaper noted, before vowing to cut regulations, repeal ObamaCare and abolish the IRS.
Trump and fellow GOP hopeful John Kasich did not address the group.
