A 100-year-old man killed his wife with an axe as she slept, then committed suicide with a knife. Michael Juskin murdered his wife, Rosalia (88), on the first floor of their home in Bergen County, New Jersey in America, American Prosecutor John Molinelli said on his Twitter account.
Policemen found the couple in their in New Jersey home after a relative – who was not in the home – called them.
After the slaying, centurion Michael took his own life with a knife in the bathroom, Molinelli said.
Molinelli said on social media that the couple had a history of domestic issues, but there was no known motive in the murder-suicide yet.
Authorities do not believe anyone else was in the home when the attack occurred.
Neighbours told The Record newspaper that they often saw the couple out and about – Michael walking the dog and his wife tending to her garden – but said they kept to themselves. Drum.co.za
