RAUNCHY pole dancer-cum-musician Beverly Sibanda's highly-publicised
official return show held at Private Lounge in Harare on Wednesday
failed to attract the anticipated crowd.
The turnout was below expectations for Bev, who had starved her fans for the four months she was absent on the local showbiz scene when she quit erotic dancing in January after being converted by Walter Magaya of the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries to join his congregation.
Regardless
of the handful crowd present, Bev and the Sexy Angles proved that they
had not lost their Midas touch that propelled them to fame ahead of many
other dancing groups.
During their almost five-hour performance, the group showed energy in their well-choreographed captivating and electrifying sexy dance routines to both local and international songs.
The revellers were sent into a frenzy when the group danced to South African house song Y-Tjukutja and and Mushonga Mukuru by sungura musician Peter Moyo.
Speaking to NewsDay, Hapaguti Mapimhidze, Bev's manager, said the show signified their return and they meant serious business.
"We are fully prepared and ready to take pole dancing to another level as we mark our return to the showbiz industry," Mapimhidze said. "Our programme is tight as we are fully booked for the next couple of weeks."
After Bev announced her return to showbiz, local promoters are currently jostling for her signature.
Tonight she performs at Airport Lounge and tomorrow she entertains revellers at Big Apple Night Club.
