HARARE - Emmanuel Makandiwa has launched miracle-working anointing oil to prepare his United Family International Church (UFIC) members for the glorious economic era that he predicted for Zimbabwe on Saturday.

Makandiwa unveils miracle anointing oil

The celebrity preacher told the multitudes that turned up at the Glamis Arena in Harare for the “Resurrection Service” on Sunday that God had finally given him the green light to launch the “glorious oil” after waiting for four years.

Makandiwa earlier prophesied at the National Sports Stadium during a prayer session dubbed “Judgement Night 2” that Zimbabwe was poised for massive economic growth that will significantly change the lives of many.

He explained during the “resurrection service” that he wanted his congregants to be the first beneficiaries of the economic boom.

The popular prophet said the oil would bring glory that is supposed to accompany the Easter resurrection of Jesus Christ to his followers.
He, however, did not say if the oil would be sold, but urged congregants to be more prayerful before getting the anointing oil which he said was so powerful that it would deal with all economic problems bedevilling the society as well as render “all other oils given elsewhere useless.”

“This one will cause a lot of noise,” Makandiwa said.

“It will cause chaos. You will be the first to enjoy the fruits of the glory that is coming. Nobody will outrun you and by the time they arrive (for the economic benefits), you will be enjoying already.

“I could not have launched it last night because it would have benefitted outsiders when the children of God have not.”

The charismatic preacher said the anointing oil was a fulfilment of a vision that he saw some four years ago which was in the form of a flourishing field of green crops.

“It was very good and I wanted to see it happen the following day but when I wanted to harvest, God told me it was not mature,” he said.

“Thank God, recently, he said now the time is ripe, the vision has matured,” he said before warning cameramen not to zoom their lenses on the bottles of the anointing oil.

Makandiwa said unlike other oils, his could not be counterfeited as it had God’s presence.

In the early hours of Sunday morning at the National Sports Stadium, Makandiwa had predicted that the country’s ailing industries would rebound, with the capital city, Harare, providing 24-hour shopping services.

The popular preacher went on to personally collect money for Sunday offering claiming that contrary to popular belief that church leaders were fleecing ordinary people by making them give monitory gifts after church service, God had told him that there was nothing wrong and that he should go ahead and collect.

He ordered congregants to queue up as they dropped their offerings in front of him.

“I will be the last to leave this place so I want you to show the world that you can part with everything that you have for God. Starting with foreigners, you will drop your gift on the altar, with the locals following,” Makandiwa directed his followers.

His much-hyped Judgement Night 2 also created a furore among some sections of the Christian community who said his prophecies were “a misrepresentation of Biblical facts”.

This followed his declaration that the night of April 19 was the “Judgement Night”.

He alleged that the night would be a moment of glory for his flock, but would be characterised by fearfulness and wailing for their enemies, who he said would be cast into a bottomless pit.
