It was a dark weekend for the Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, Ni John Fru Ndi after his driver was shot on the leg by soldiers, sources have confirmed.
The driver, Salifu Waziru was shot around Food market in Bamenda on Sunday October 14 around 6pm as he was returning home after dropping the Chairman at his Ntarikon residence.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he has been responding to treatment, sources confirm.
They had just returned from the Chairman’s village, Baba II, where they are said to have encountered armed separatists on the way as gunshots were heard around the area but succeeded to ride through to Bamenda unhurt.
