Even in the absence of a coalition to challenge president Biya, the October 7 2018 presidential elections in Cameroon looked promising unlike others.

It became a normal thing for Biya to defeat his opponents in past presidential polls with an 80 or 90 percent margin. Even if Osih Joshua and Akere Muna were to lose, they would have atleast reduce this shameful margin that Biya used to give his opponents in past presidential elections.

The 1982 scam seemingly murdered democracy in Cameroon and two gentlemen surfaced from no where as if to say they wanted to bring back democracy in Cameroon. Yes! We are talking about Akere Muna and Osih Joshua.

The ambitions of these two gentlemen to occupy the Etoudi sumptuous palace have been sent to an early grave by ELECAM.
Elections Cameroon (Elecam) Rejects Osih’s And Muna’s Files For The Presidential Race!
According to reports, ELECAM rejected the files of Osih Joshua, the flag bearer of the SDF on the bases that he has two nationalities - Swiss and Cameroonian nationalities. According to Cameroon law, a person in possession of two nationalities cannot occupy any public position in Cameroon. Osih Joshua had earlier on refuted this allegation.

On the other hand, ELECAM rejected the candidacy of Akere Muna, the flag bearer of “The Now Movement ” on the bases that he has a case in court and for that reason can not contest for the highest job of the land. It should be noted that Akere Muna and her sister, Ama Tutu Muna have a court case over their father’s property. Ama Tutu Muna is of the ruling CPDM party and currently a member of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism.

The two men are still to make a public statement on this issues .
