It has been 24 hours since the Electoral board of the elections governing body, Elecam started working on the files of the 28 candidates who have applied to run for 2018 Presidential elections with hitches already recorded.
The publication of the 28-man list by Elecam early on Friday morning sent shock waves to the Cameroon Democratic Union Party, the CDU who were surprised to find the name of another person rather than their candidate Adamou Ndam Njoya.

“While going through the final list published by Elecam, we realised that Mongwat Amadou was listed number 8 instead of Adamou Ndam Njoya…what reading should we make of this? The CDU stresses that Adamou Ndam Njoya’s file was dropped at Elecam on 17 July 2018 at 17h15,” the CDU said in a statement.
Contacted by journalducameroun.com, sources at Elecam say it was an error on the part of the secretariat and will obviously be rectified.
