An Instagram model who underwent a controversial procedure to change the colour of her eyes says she now has the sight of a 90-year-old. Nadinne Bruna, 32, has lost most of her vision after the treatment, to insert silicone implants in her hazel eyes to turn them light grey, went wrong.
The Argentinian model, who lives in Miami, flew to Bogota, Colombia to have the procedure because it is not approved in the US.Her vision was constantly blurry and her eyes were left red and painful for months - forcing her to stop taking part in photoshoots, which is how she got her income.

Ms Bruna, who underwent the procedure in September 2016, has today spoken out about her horrifying ordeal for the first time.
She said: 'Before this surgery my eyes were completely healthy. They were in really good condition. I was so naive.
'Ever since this surgery I have had blurry vision. For about a year my eyes were constantly red and itchy.
'My pupils, they can’t adjust to light anymore so I’m very photosensitive now too. This surgery completely f***ed up my life.
'My vision damage is permanent, and I still have to have a cornea transplant and I have cataracts too.'
Ms Bruna, who was left with glaucoma due to damage to her optic nerve, added: 'After this surgery I went into a deep depression.
'I’m a very strong person, usually very brave and very smart, but with this I was completely stupid. I trusted the wrong person.
'Now I have the vision of a 90-year-old lady right but I’m hoping I can just keep my glaucoma under control.'
Ms Bruna returned to Colombia twice last year, in March and June, for two further procedures to try and repair the damage to her eye. Her vision was constantly blurry and her eyes were left red and painful for months - forcing her to stop taking part in photoshoots, which is how she got her income
However, attempts to save her sight were unsuccessful and she was forced to seek medical attention back in the US.
A team of ophthalmologists at Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, led by Dr Ranya Habash, removed the dangerous implants last September.
Dr Habash has since said procedures to change the colours of eyes like the one Ms Bruna opted for cause 'irreparable' damage to the eyes.
She said: 'The issue with injecting a silicone plate into the eye is that it clogs the drain of the eye, just like as if a sink was blocked.
'The pressure builds and builds inside the eye, causing inflammation and damaging the structures.
'There’s a reason these procedures are not FDA approved and that’s because we’ve seen the long-term and irreparable damage they can cause.
'Nadinne’s eye problems are something she will have to deal with for the rest of her life. She’s never going to be done with it.'
