A farmer was bashed to death at Tobacco Sales Floor in Harare after he accidentally got in the same blanket of a married woman on Thursday.
Eye witnesses allege the farmer was mistook by other farmers who labelled him a thief after the woman shouted for help.
The farmer mistakenly got into a wrong blanket after he had gone to relieve himself.
"The blankets they had looked alike and since hr had left his wife he got in the wrong blanket and the women in the blanket shouted mbavha mbavha and the mob reacted in thrashing him they later searched him and found tobacco vouchers in his pocket and he was rushed to Harare hospital where he died upon admission," said the source.
Efforts to contact the police about the incident were fruitless.
