BRAD Pitt is “still totally crushed” two weeks after his wife Angelina Jolie filed for divorce and demanded custody of their six children amid abuse allegations.
“He can’t believe this is what his life has become, and he’s in bad shape, but the kids are the only thing he’s hanging onto,” a source told Us Weekly.
“He’s been leaning heavily on his family and speaks to his parents and close friends and his manager constantly. His mum has been talking to him constantly.”
News of the couple’s split broke late last month, with reports Pitt physically and verbally abused his son Maddox in a drunken tirade on board a private plane. He has denied the claims.
Sources said the 52-year-old is still reeling from the accusations, which triggered investigations by police, the FBI and the Department Of Children And Family Services.
Pitt and Jolie were together for 12 years, and married for two, after meeting on the set of 2005 movie Mr & Mrs Smith. They have six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight.

Another source said Pitt and Jolie will receive counselling — separately and with their family. Pitt has also agreed to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
“He will co-operate in whatever way he can,” the source told Us Weekly. “He loves those kids more than anything.”
Yesterday, TMZ reported that Jolie has added two more “powerhouse lawyers” — Pierce O’Donnell and Bert Fields — to her legal team, which is led by Laura Wasser.
