POLICE in Bulawayo have recovered stolen goods from four suspects who were arrested recently in connection with the murder, in Botswana last month, of Air Zimbabwe’s public relations manager Shingi Dhliwayo.

Artwell Ndiweni, Godfrey Mavhurafero and Mgcini Xaba, all from Cowdray Park suburb together with Dumisani Ncube of Sizinda suburb were arrested last week.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango said stolen property was recovered after the four were raided by police.

Insp Simango urged members of the public who were robbed in Bulawayo, Plumtree and surrounding areas to approach the police.

“We’re appealing to members of the public who were robbed in Bulawayo, Plumtree and the surrounding areas to come and identify their property.

We believe that some of the property that we recovered might be belonging to the suspects’ victims,” said Insp Simango.

She said some of the property includes a female’s wedding ring, laptops, different brands of cellphones and clothes among other things.

“Those who suspect that the recovered property might be theirs should visit our Homicide Detectives at Central Police Station in office Number 40.

They can also contact the investigating team led by Superintendent Musasira, or Detective Chief Inspector Musiyalela Mwezi, Assistant Inspector Lungisani Tshuma,” she said.

Dhliwayo was found dead in a bush about 5km from Ramokgwebana Border Post on April 30.

She was tied to a tree with her feet and hands bound while a piece of cloth was stuffed in her mouth. Dhliwayo travelled to Botswana just after attending the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair and her body was discovered after her family had lost contact with her.
