A Harare city man dragged his half-sister to court for verbally abusing him and calling him a witch in public.

Timothy Mthetwa hauled Mavis Mthetwa to court today seeking a protection order.

“Your worship she calls me a witch in public asserting that I am the one responsible for the anti-marriage spirit around her,” he said.

“People gather when Mavis shouts and this embarrassment is too much Your Worship and this hurts me as I am the one who raised her only to call me a witch.”

Mavis however, denied the claims:

“It is all false my half-brother is a traditional healer and married me to a goblin after he had killed my husband using robbers at night,” she asserted.

“He gave me a strange pigeon to keep in my house and for years now I am not married yet his other blood sisters are married.”

Presiding Magistrate Babra Mateko granted the protection order to Timothy and advised Timothy and Mavis to solve their issues amicably.
