The first look at Barbershop: The Next Cut was released on Tuesday. And Nicki Minaj is very keen for you to see the trailer, which the Wrap debuted.

On Monday the 32-year-old posted a snap from the set with all the main cast, captioned: 'Can't wait for you guys to see this movie. #APRIL #BarberShop.'

All the regulars are back including Ice Cube, Regina Hall and Cedric The Entertainer for the third film in the comedy franchise.
Nicki, in only her second feature film role after 2014's The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz, is one of the newbies along with Common.

Setting the scene: Calvin, played by Ice, and Regina's Angie have combined their hair cutting businesses into one super barbershop for men and women to save them from going under. Nicki plays a stylist.

This time around, Calvin, played by Ice, and Regina's Angie have combined their haircutting businesses into one super barbershop for men and women to save them both from going under.

Nicki co-stars as one of Angie's stylists. Although it's a comedy, the film tackles the serious issue of gun violence in the Chicago neighbourhood.

The cast that also includes Cedric the Entertainer, Anthony Anderson, JB Smoove, Lamorne Harris, Sean Patrick Thomas, Deon Cole and Tyga.
