A western based pollster has selected Prophetic Healing Deliverance Ministries Founder Prophet Walter Magaya as the most powerful young Zimbabwean under the age of 40 from a list of 100 people.

The news website www.mafaro.co.uk reckoned the youthful preacher as a charismatic speaker, philanthropist and an entrepreneur.

PHD senior overseer Mr Admire Mango expressed gratitude at the recognition shown to the leader of his church.

“We feel humbled by the respect shown to our church leader. It shows people are appreciating God’s work being carried out through Prophet Magaya,” he said. “The honour will enhance the man of God’s zeal to continue working for God in delivering people. It is not just for Prophet Magaya, but for the entire ministry.”

Second on the list is fast rising musician Mukudzei Mukombe, popularly known as Jah Prayzah, while United Family International Church leader Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa is third, with world champion welterweight boxer Charles Manyuchi on number four.

Among a list of those honoured are musicians, journalists, lawyers, politicians, sports persons, artists and businesspersons.

Those behind the website did not indicate the criteria they used to come up with the list.

Journalists on the list include Sunday Mail editor Mabasa Sasa, Herald Business editor Happiness Zengeni, H-Metro editor Lawrence Moyo and NewsDay features writer Philip Chidavaenzi.

Other musicians include Mathias Mhere on number 89 and Wallace Chirumiko, popularly known as Winky D, sitting on number 62.

Sports persons include award-winning athlete, Kirsty Coventry sits on number 59 and footballer Knowledge Musona is on 78.

Notable politicians are Gokwe Nembudziya MP Cde Justice Mayor Wadyakena on number 42, Minister in Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko’s office Cde Tabeth Malinga-Kanengoni on 56 and Highfield East MP Cde Psychology Maziwisa on 13.
