A VICTORIA Falls man allegedly sneaked into a couple’s bedroom and joined them on the bed where he started fondling the woman while her drunken husband slept, a local court heard on Wednesday. Stephen Moyo, 24 of Monde Village outside Victoria Falls is being charged with unlawful entry and indecent assault.
He appeared before Victoria Falls magistrate Sharon Rosemani who remanded him out of custody to May 25 on $200 bail.
Moyo, who is being represented by Givemore Muvhiringi of Dube and Company, was not asked to plead.
Prosecuting, Listen Nare said the incident occurred on February 1 in Ziwoya Village, 30 km outside Victoria Falls Town.
“On February 1, 2015 the accused entered complainant’s house by forcing open an unlocked door while complainant Eneresi Muhura and her husband Tendai Mlambo were fast asleep and naked.
“While on the bed, he fondled the complainant’s breasts and caressed her buttocks,” said Nare.
The court heard that the couple did not hear Moyo enter the house and join them in the blankets.
Muhura was allegedly taken aback when she woke up to find herself between two men - the intruder and her drunken husband.
“The complainant screamed thereby waking up her husband and some neighbours who helped apprehend the accused,” said the prosecutor.
A report was made to the police leading to the arrest of Moyo.
