Zimbabweans should strike back against xenophobic violence in Durban and Gauteng by attacking South African students and businesses operating in the country, this is according to Zimbabwe National Students Union's (Zinasu) president Gilbert Mutubuki.
A furious Mutubuki, who was addressing the media outside the South African embassy in Harare on Friday where local civic society groups organised an anti-xenophobia demonstration, said it’s high time Zimbabweans start attacking South Africans studying in the country and businesses such as Pick n Pay.
"Right now we have South African businesses such as Pick n Pay operating freely here, but our brothers are being butchered in South Africa," News24 reported.
“Today in the morning, South African students at the University of Zimbabwe were having breakfast freely in the dining hall, but our sisters and brothers are getting killed.
“It's high time we should do the same to all South African businesses here until they stop all this nonsense,” said Mutubuki.
