ZBC sports presenter and commentator, Chengetai Ditima, has died. He was 42. Ditima died on his way to hospital on Saturday night. His elder brother, Raymond, said Chengetai had been in and out of hospital for the past two months.
Popular Zbc sports presenter & commentator Chengetai Ditima has died
Chengetai joined the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation in October 2005. He is survived by his wife Audriey and four children. Mourners are gathered at No. 32 Scarsdale, Greencroft, Harare. Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.

ZBC sports reporter and presenter, Chengetai Ditima, who died on Saturday, has been described as a hardworking journalist who was passionate about his job.

He was 42.

Chengmaster, as he was well known to colleagues, was a seasoned sports reporter and presenter who made a mark in the sporting fraternity.

Fellow workmate and ZBC Assignments Editor, Albert Chekayi described Ditima as a hardworking reporter who not only excelled in reporting popular sport but had a keen interest in minority sports such as horse racing, which needs specialised skill.

Former ZBC Sports Editor, John Nyashanu said the void that Ditima has left will be difficult to fill.

Former ZIFA Women Football Chairperson, Mavis Gumbo said she is still to come to terms with Ditima’s death.

She expressed gratitude for the support he offered her during her term of office.

Ditima died on Saturday night on his way to hospital.

His elder brother, Raymond , said Chenge had been in and out of hospital for the past two months.

The versatile sports reporter and presenter joined the ZBC in October 2005.

He leaves behind his wife, Audriey and four children.

Mourners are gathered at house number 32, Scarsdale Road, Greencroft, Harare and funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
