The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information on the identity of women harassing and assaulting an alleged prostitute in a video that has gone viral on social media.
The police say they are looking for information leading to the arrest of the women featured in the video where an alleged prostitute is stripped naked and asked to dance before the women and other observers, beat her privates with a stick before pouring salt inside.
Police have also called for the victim to come forward. The 7-minute video is in Shona and one Amai Munashe is called by the woman who is recording the video.
Members of the public with information on the said video can contact the National Complaints Desk on (04) 703631 or any nearest police station.
On Thursday last week, two culprits were sentenced to an effective 8 months in jail following the release of a similar video where a woman was stripped at a bus rank in Harare for allegedly wearing a miniskirt.
