TELECEL Zimbabwe has re-introduced a 100 percent bonus on voice calls which allows subscribers to make calls across all networks.
Telecel reintroduces 100 percent voice call bonus
The mega bonus promotion gives Telecel customers 100 percent bonus for airtime denominations of $1, $2, $5, $10, $20 and $50 that are bought through air time tokens and e-juice.

The validity period for the bonus airtime varies depending on the recharge value. A $1 bonus airtime has a validity period of one day while higher denominations have validity periods of up to ten days.

Telecel chief communication and branding director, Nkosinathi Ncube said the company’s objective was to give customers value for their money.

“The restoration of 100 percent off-net bonus under the mega bonus promotion shows Telecel’s continued leadership in innovation and creating value. We’ve found a way of continuing to offer value even in the face of tariff cuts and an extremely competitive environment,” he said.

Ncube said Telecel’s competitive products are being appreciated by their customers who, like everyone else, are hard-pressed by the economic challenges.

“The value we’re extending to our customers is unprecedented especially if you take into account that all mobile networks recently reduced their tariffs across the board in line with the regulator driven tariff cuts,” he said.

Telecel also recently announced the launch of their Switch Over campaign that directly encourages subscribers from competitor networks to join their network.

Clients who cross over will still be able to keep the last six digits of their mobile number.

“The re-introduction of 100 percent bonus across all networks is part of our over-arching Telecel Switch Over campaign. Our experience is that more of the customers, both individuals and the corporate world, that switch over to us are choosing to stay with our network permanently,” said Ncube.

The re-introduction of 100 percent bonus across all networks comes shortly after the telecoms regulator, POTRAZ, announced tariff cuts for all mobile networks.

The recent mobile tariff reductions by government had resulted in a dearth of bonus and tariff reduction promotions.

Telecel is for now the only mobile network offering 100 percent off-net bonus. Chronicles
