A man called police to report a possible bomb after seeing an object that looked like a banana, hanging from a tree, police in Nebraska said.
Lincoln firefighters responded to the scene of the suspicions banana on Tuesday, after a Lincoln Electric Systems worker spotted it hanging from a pine tree.
The device was wrapped in yellow ribbon and was hanging on the tree by a cable. Police officers and a bomb squad also responded to the scene.
After a few tense minutes, the bomb squad determined that the banana was not a bomb. According to the police investigation, the banana was placed on the tree as part of a game called geocaching.
Geocaching has already placed three million objects around the world, and people earn points for finding them.
