Mr Serima remanded Chokurongerwa in custody and will make his ruling tomorrow.
Fugitive Johanne Masowe eChishanu apostolic sect leader Madzibaba Ishmael Chokurongerwa today appeared in court facing public violence charges.Chokurongerwa (44), who had been on the run for the past seven months, appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Milton Serima.
Prosecutor Mr Sebastian Mutizirwa urged the court to deny Chokurongerwa bail citing that he is a flight risk.

Madzibaba allegedly led his followers in attacking policemen and journalsists at his sect’s shrine in Harare’s Budiriro suburb in May last year.
