A Waterfalls woman sustained serious injuries after her husband shoved a cooking stick into her private parts as a way of ‘fixing’ her. The man (19) (name withheld), first inserted his fingers into his wife’s private parts before shoving a cooking stick.
He reportedly turned to their one year six months old baby and assaulted her all over the body using the same cooking stick for bed wetting. Both his wife and the baby sustained injuries.
He appeared before magistrate Milton Serima, who remanded him in custody to November 20. He was charged with two counts of aggravated indecent assault and ill-treating a child.
He was not asked to plead to the charges.
The man, however, left the court in stitches when he told the gallery that the allegations were false as he did not own a bed.
“Murikuti ndakarovera mwana nyaya yekuitira weti pamubhedha, ndezvekunyeba nekuti ini handitorina mubhedha wacho tinotorara pasi,” he said.
Prosecutor Mr Sebastian Mutizirwa, alleged that on October 29 the man grabbed his wife and pushed her to the ground.
It is alleged he then tore her clothes in the process and forcibly pulled her legs apart.
The court heard that he inserted his fingers into her private part saying he wanted to fix her.
The woman screamed for help prompting her husband to take a cooking stick which he then forcibly shoved up her privates. The man, the court heard, told his wife that he wanted to kill her.
He allegedly turned the cooking stick to his daughter accusing her of wetting the bed.
After the attack, his wife rushed to the police and made a report.
