In a sad development from Midlands State University (MSU), a love stricken student in his first year of development studies decided to take his life after discovering that his girlfriend was loaning her ‘honeypot’ to every Jack and John at the populous campus.
Utterly dejected by the betrayal,Mark Mhere, allegedly consumed rat poison at about 6 am in Nehosho high density suburb where he was lodging.
His room mate found him with froth all over the mouth. The shocked room mate, ran around trying to seek help for him but it was in vain as Mhere succumbed to the poison before the ambulance crew arrived.
Fellow students who spoke to this reporter on condition of anonymity disclosed that Mhere was totally ‘crushed’ and had been very pensive yesterday when he discovered his girlfriend was putting out for nearly every guy on campus.
“We don’t know her real name but people call her p*ssy cat. Mark often declared his undying love for her and had marriage plans. Those of us who were privy to her shenanigans felt sorry for him because he was a nice boy who fell in love with the wrong person,” said one of the students.
The students said Mhere’s girlfriend used to sleep with other students mainly from the “Japan” hostels.
“The relationship was doomed from the start but no one had the heart to tell him, so we are really sad,” said another student.
