MDC legislator Vimbai Java Tsvangirai who is also the daughter of the late founding leader of the opposition party, Morgan Richard Tsvangirai, survived a horror crash yesterday which claimed the lives of two senior MDC members she was travelling with.
Writing on its social media account the MDC said, Alert: Hon Vimbai Java Tsvangirai involved in an accident on her way to Harare from Bulawayo. One senior member whose name has been withheld is in critical condition.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa passed his condolences to the opposition saying, Very sorry to hear of the tragic car crash that claimed the lives of two committed MDC activists and injured Vimbai Tsvangirai.
My thoughts are with the loved ones of the deceased, and I join the Tsvangirai family and the nation as a whole in praying for Vimbai’s speedy recovery.
