Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Kirsty Leigh Coventry has set a raging storm on Twitter after what looked like a random motivational tweet on Tuesday morning was taken by MDC Alliance supporters to be a hit on their leader Nelson Chamisa.

Coventry, who regularly posts motivational tweets every morning, on Tuesday tweeted: “Imagine if I lost a race and never did anything about it except complain and blame others. Use your losses to come back bigger, stronger and more fired up to win. Own it!”

The tweet has generated more heat and less light in just an hour after being posted, with close to 600 replies attacking her for what they perceive as a jibe at Nelson Chamisa.

Chamisa lost the 2018 elections to President Mnangagwa, but he disputes the results saying he was rigged out. He also disputes the constitutional Court and blames Chief Justice Luke Malaba for his troubles.
