War Of The Prophets ... Prophet Walter Magaya and Prophet Tapiwa Freddy CLASH Over ‘Healed’ Man

POPULAR Harare prophets, Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD) leader Walter Magaya and Tapiwa Freddy of Goodness and Mercy Ministries (GMM) are entangled in a tussle over the miraculous “healing of a South Africa-based Zimbabwean man identified as Nesu Maruveke who had a cancerous tumour on his head that oozed a lot of blood.

Although details of the matter remains murky, the spate was reportedly ignited after Maruveke was seen on Yadah TV testifying to the effect that Magaya had delivered him. This publication however, gathered that Maruveke had in fact visited both prophets seeking divine intervention.

From the online video footages circulating on social media, Maruveke reportedly visited PHD Ministries on 4 January 2017 and received “divine intervention” but later on visited Freddy’s Goodness and Mercy Ministries in Glenview on 15 January where Freddy prayed for him and his children.

In the video clip posted on Prophet T Freddy’s facebook page, Maruveke is seen receiving prophecies about his home in Kwekwe as well as South Africa where he is currently based. Freddy laid his hand on him and declared him delivered from the tumour and Muruvereke is seen dancing in excitement, thanking God and prophet Freddy for the prophecy and deliverance.

Nevertheless, GMM follower were irate to learn that the same man had testified on Yadah TV thanking prophet Magaya for healing him prompting them to post a video clip of him being delivered at their church. The 1-minute clip, which has since gone viral on social media ends up asking the public to judge for themselves where the man had been healed.

When this reporter contacted Maruveke, who appeared to avoid antagonising the two prophets, he said “I wouldn’t want to discredit any of them since I visited both prophets seeking deliverance. Actually, I was also going to visit GMM to testify. Above all, we must glorify God for the miracle.”

In a comment Freddy declined to say much but instead made reference to the video footage on his church’s Facebook page saying “The man was delivered in the presence of thousands of people and the video footage speaks for itself, its entirely up to each person to decipher the truth.”

Several efforts to contact PHD overseer Admire Mango for clarifications proved futile as his moblie phone was unreachable.

The spat has caused a frenzy on social media with the rumour mill already in overdrive. Danai Chimhau said “I witnessed this miracle happening at GMM and what touched me the most was the way he danced after being delivered. He was so full of faith.”

“Ko vekuPHD varikuti ndiMagaya wani (who delivered him). Unobva watoshaya kuti zvinhu zvacho zvirikufamba sei? queried Takawira Sebastian.

Gift Mugugu weighed in saying “Zvekuti akanamatirwa nani hazvina basa, chikuru ndiMwari (It does not matter who prayed for him but glory be to God.”

GMM facebook page was yesterday awash with comments lavishing Freddy with praises with one Nyasha Nyah Suwedi even describing him as a “prophetic dynamite, the Spiritual Spectacles bazooka.” and one Norleen Mundawaro Magiya even asserted that “God used His prophet to locate the cancerous tumour and it bowed down in submission. You are the sent one papa, you roared and the disease obeyed.

Roy Manyowa lamented over the confusion saying “This is really disturbing when credit is not given to prophet Freddy who delivered Nesu. I was present when he was given his prophecy and was prayed for by the prophet.”

Moreblessing Gakaka waded in saying “Akauya kuguest house kuPHD, pictures are even available of him giving a testimony there. Only he knows where he was healed.”
