South Africa has intervened on the Zimbabwe economic and political crisis and strongly advised the Zimbabwean government to use the rand as its primary trading currency instead of the bond notes.
This follows bold admissions by the Zimbabwe treasury and Zimbabwe business community at large that this is the ONLY available solution to the Zimbabwe economic and political crisis.
There is serious shortage of the greenback in the country and long ques in the banks has been the order of the day. Sources said that government have agreed to the offer and modalities are being speedily worked out to effect the use of the rand in Zimbabwe as soon as possible.
