A crowd of about 5‚000 residents of Ackerville‚ Emalahleni‚ have made it clear that they want President Jacob Zuma to “fall“.
“Zuma thinks he is special‚ (he is a) graduate of grade two …there is nothing special about Zuma. We did him a favour (by letting him lead the country)
“Zuma must fall‚ Zuma must fall!” the crowd shouted as Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) leader Julius Malema took to the stage to address them.
Old women and men sat on chairs in front of the opposition party’s truck‚ while behind them young people dressed in red chanted “Juju‚ Juju‚ Juju!” as the pumped their fists in the air.
Malema was in Witbank on Wednesday as his Mpumalanga campaign trail‚ ahead of the August 3 local government elections‚ wound down.
“This is not a rally‚ it is just a community meeting. So imagine what it would be like if it was a rally‚” said Malema‚ the crowd shouting in agreement.
Malema told the people that they would never be free without flushing toilets and land ownership.
However‚ he said things would never change as long as President Zuma was leading the country.

“Until this crook came umakhandakhanda (big head) came‚” he said referring to Zuma.
Malema said under the president’s watch‚ people had lost jobs‚ the country’s economy declined and they still lived in shacks.
“Zuma thinks he is special‚ (he is a) graduate of grade two …there is nothing special about Zuma. We did him a favour (by letting him lead the country)‚” said Malema.
He said Zuma would have been a queue marshall at the local taxi rank had it not been for the “favour” from the people of the country.
Malema continued with his attack on the president as he had in previous rallies around the province this week‚ calling Zuma a “blesser” president who had bought his four wives cars worth about R9m‚ while his people continue to live in shacks.
