Prince is a true music legend and was an inspiration to many with an insanely impressive career. In turn, he leaves behind an estimated net worth of $300 million.

Though working a lot in Los Angeles, Prince only ever owned one home there, according to theLA Times. He sold it in 1997 for $2.2 million and it was recently sold by another owner for $5.5 million. Prince was staying at his Paisley Park residence in Minnesota at the time of his death on April 21, 2016.

Throughout his career, Prince has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and is one of the most recognizable artists in music history. He had also earned himself seven Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. Also, according to a website called DrFunkenBerry.com, Prince’s performance fee for an appearance is $2 million though Prince has, at times, performed some gigs for free.

So, what did Prince spend his money on other than insane clothes, homes, decor and a private jet? He was also quite charitable. According to Born Rich, in 2011, Prince donated over $1.5 million to New York Charities. These charities included Harlem Children’s Zone, American Ballet Theatre and Uptown Dance Academy.
