Roman's reign atop WWE is going pretty well thus far. The WWE world heavyweight champion is wearing the title with pride and doing everything a champion should do at this point, as it's obvious that he's never been more over as a WWE Superstar.

But he has one test left, and that test is Brock Lesnar.

Like Star Wars' Luke Skywalker, Roman must face off against his own personal Darth Vader. Only by confronting him and beating him will Reigns be able to fully realize his place as the new top guy in Vince McMahon's company.

Brock is the one man Reigns has not beaten, the one man who stopped him when no one else could. Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, The Big Show, Kane, Sheamus—they all stepped up, and they all went down. Each man represented a different set of challenges for Reigns, and the former Shield strongman grew stronger with each victory.
Why Roman Reigns Must Defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32
Fans are already looking ahead to WrestleMania 32, and the best possible match for the industry's biggest championship is Reigns vs. Lesnar. John Cena, Randy Orton, Rollins and Bryan are all out with injury, while Triple H is likely looking for revenge for his TLC beatdown.

However that beatdown will have to wait because The Beast will be back.

When that happens, Reigns must be the first man on his hit list. Lesnar was a dominant world champion, perhaps the most dominant of all time. In a business of choreographed matches with predetermined outcomes, Lesnar is the one guy who looks as though he's legitimately competing.

He is unstoppable, a fact made clear by The Undertaker's inability to beat him cleanly. Lesnar faced the best that WWE had to throw at him, including Cena himself, and came back for more. He is the most powerful, most driven, most intense and toughest man to perhaps ever wear the championship, and no one has been able to even come close to what he can do in the ring.

Lesnar is on a level all his own, and that's likely where he will remain until he retires. But Reigns is the man meant to carry WWE forward. With Cena being out and the main event options extremely thin, now is the best time for Roman to prove he can carry the load and handle the pressures of being champion.

That means he must exorcise the demon that is Brock Lesnar.

By beating Lesnar, Reigns will prove he is the man. This is not about chasing the belt or chasing the top spot, Roman has both. This is about Roman showing he belongs on top and defending his title with no fear of the monster standing in his way.

This outcome was perfectly built at WrestleMania 31, when the two men faced off for the championship. Reigns took a massive beating; he took everything Lesnar had to offer and remained strong. In fact, he laughed at Brock and dared him to attack even more.

Who should Roman Reigns defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against at WrestleMania 32?  Roman was essentially in a terrible crash yet walked away asking for another.

It was that resolve, that determination, that led many fans at the time to believe they were witnessing something very special. Indeed, it was the birth of the main event talent who now wears the strap. Reigns began carving out his place that night, but he must beat Lesnar to truly see it through.

WWE is looking to fill over 100,000 seats at WrestleMania this year, and Reigns vs. Lesnar would be one of the matches to make that figure a reality.

Many would be hoping to see Brock dominate once again while others would be watching just to see Roman lose like last year. There is enough interest among both sides from fans who just want to see the championship portrayed in the best light possible and this match is it.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship is the most prestigious title in the business and deserves a high-profile match between two top guys at WrestleMania. That is what will happen if Brock steps up against Roman. This is a storyline that writes itself and one that could come together so easily if WWE chooses to make it happen.

Brock will surely be ready, and Roman is undoubtedly ready. This match needs to happen, and it needs to happen at WrestleMania.
