Mbira songstress Hope Masike’s star continues to shine after being nominated for a Kora award, reports Real Info Zone.
This year’s edition of the awards will be held on the 20th of March 2016 in Namibia.
The “Huya Tinamate” singer will be vying for the Best Traditional Female Artist for Africa gong against talented artists Abby Lakew of Ethiopia, Namibia’s Erna Chimu, Sham Geshu (Eritrea), Cecil Kayirebwa (Rwanda) and Dobet Gnabore of Ivory Coast.

“Guess who got nominated for a Kora Awards? My God is good wooooooooooooooo!!” she posted on her Facebook page.
On getting nominated, Hope joins only two other local artistes namely superstar Oliver Mtukudzi who won the award for his song “Ndakuvara” in 2001as well as Jazz crooner Tanga wekwaSndo who was once nominated but lost out.
