A female traffic cop in the United Kingdom, came under fire after she was seen on video issuing a ticket after a car accident. The video of the incident was posted to YouTube, and has forced the woman to resign from her job.

The video clip shows the Manchester traffic cop writing a ticket for cab driver Mohammed Arif, because he pulled to the side of the road after a traffic accident.

Mohammed, 37, who recorded the incident, insists that he never intended to harm the woman by causing her to lose her job over the incident.

He said that he took the video as evidence so that he can appeal the ticket. In the video, the taxi driver can be heard telling the traffic cop that his car was not in working order because he was involved in an accident.

The woman responded by saying: “I'm not talking to you.”

Arif asked the officer: “Do you realize that I had an accident?”

However, rather than responding to his question, she said: “You are not authorized to take video of me.”

She then tried to grab the man’s phone twice before she claimed that the cab driver assaulted her.

The Manchester City Council promised to investigate the incident, saying that Arif should not have been fined while he was waiting for help to arrive after the accident.

A spokesperson for the City Council said: “We have clear guidelines and our traffic wardens are instructed not to issue parking tickets in circumstances where motorists were forced to park following traffic accidents.”
