A rapist prophet from Buhera wept uncontrolable in court after being handed an 18 year jail sentance. Misheck Chifezani aged 30 is a Zion Christian Church prophet.
The court in Rusape heard that Chifezani raped a 14 year old girl who is a churchmate. He had called her to his residency after he said he wants to pray for her.
"On 18 November 2014, around 1500hrs Chifezani instructed one of his daughters to call the complainant who was passing by the road.
"The complainant then went to the accused person's house and upon arrival, Chifezani sent his two children away to fetch firewood. His wife was absent.
"The accused person asked the young girl to wash dishes. He later summoned her into his bedroom where he asked her to kneel down so that he could pray for her. Instead of praying for her Chifezani proceeded to rape the girl," the court heard through Rusape area prosecutor Tirivanhu Mutyasira.
Of the 18 years only three years were suspended prompting the prophet to weep. - Manicapost
