At just 32, Prophet Moreblessing Rwambiwa is probably the youngest of the popular prophets in the country, yet he is not just a prophet, he is the founder and president of Greater Grace International Church head-quartered in Mutare.

And through his miracles, prophetic powers and sermons he is in the fast lane to be in the league of the country’s most followed prophets such as Emmanuel Makandiwa, Uebert Angels, Walter Magaya and Blessing Chiza.

He became known in the region after the miracle money in Victoria Falls in December, a miracle that was first performed by Prophet Uebert Angels who coincidentally or is it by design happens to be his spiritual father.

Or whatever the like father like son saying means.

Last Saturday, the prophet, who slowly but surely is coming out of his Mutare shell to claim popularity among the other spiritual celebrities of his nature was in the City of Kings and Queens courtesy of a seminar organised by Apostle Richard Siavuta of Family Christian Centre International Church.

He, however, did not just come to Bulawayo and return to Mutare unnoticed but made his visit an unforgettable one, one that spiritually transformed the lives of those who had congregated for the seminar and the church service with some prophesy.

His prophesy saw a Bulawayo family being asked to go and collect a trunk that was left by their late aunt who was a sangoma that was kept in a room with the tools that she used to use for the trade. She died in 1990.

The trunk, at least, according to eyewitnesses contained three python skins, two hyena skins with some stuff wrapped in them, black mamba bones and other cloths with items that could not be identified. The trunk, the family is said to have confirmed, had not been opened since the death of the family’s sangoma aunt some 25 years ago.

But despite the two-and-a-half decades the items in the trunk were still intact with stuff wrapped in one of the hyena skins that could not be discerned said to be breathing. Videos taken of the items show that the hyena skins were the ones showing signs of long age as the furs were detaching themselves at the slightest touch.

The late sangoma’s spirit later manifested itself in one of the family members believed to have been earmarked to take over as the sangoma together with the trunk and its contents and revealed all that was in the plan. The spirit is said to have accused the family of having done the abominable by going to church to have it cast out.

The prophet’s spokesperson, Bernard Bepe, confirmed the incident and told Sunday Leisure that in as much as they wanted to destroy the trunk and its contents they couldn’t after the family’s uncle phoned from Masvingo telling the family members that they should not let the items be destroyed.

“Yes it happened. Coincidentally the family’s uncle called from Masvingo saying the family needs the trunk and its contents. But the woman where the sangoma’s spirit was manifesting got deliverance from the prophet,” said Bepe. He added that a lot more people were prophesied and delivered from demonic possession and evil spirits that have been keeping their lives in perpetual bondage.

He said although the miracle money in Victoria Falls was one of the major miracles that propped Prophet Rwambiwa, there were many other miracles that he performed in Mutare.

He said the three miracles that ranked among his top ones performed so far were of the boy who had no testicles who was brought to him by his mother and he gave him the water he was drinking and when the boy drank the water he got his testicles.

The second one, he said was of a woman who had no womb. Prophet Rwambiwa, according to Bepe explained to the woman that her womb was taken away by a female relative when she was congratulating her mother after her birth. He then prayed for her and her womb was restored.

The third one was of a woman whose car keys had just disappeared and had to change her car’s ignition switch before she was told by the prophet that her keys were taken away by some jealous people who were not happy that she was driving. They had sent a rat to steal the keys. He is said to have prayed and the woman was told to check her bag and found her car keys.

Bepe added that they were working on establishing two schools of prophets, one in Victoria Falls with Apostle Vincent Dube and the other in Nigeria with Prophet Emmanuel Abudula of Rema Global Outreach in Delta State, Lagos as part of the church’s expansion drive.

“The aim of establishing schools of prophets is not to teach people to prophesy but a way of making people discover themselves and their purpose in life,” said Bepe.

Prophet Rwambiwa has prophesied and ministered to various influential politicians in and outside the country. He told Julius Malema in South Africa that he was going to start a political party and was going to win some parliamentary seats before he even formed his party. He is also a motivational speaker of note who is often hired to speak at high profile seminars and conferences through his company called Purpose Driven People (PDP).

Originally from Gutu in Masvingo Province, Prophet Rwambiwa grew up in Harare, Chitungwiza, to be specific and did his education at Alheite High School in the capital. He grew up in a Christian family.

He said when he was in Grade Four he fell ill and for more than three months doctors could not diagnose what was giving him the problem before he later passed out but his mother refused to accept that he was dead. He later woke up much to the surprise of the doctors who had confirmed his death.

He said he received a calling when he was in Grade Five but for him everything he was doing from preaching and prophesying was for fun. He did not take it seriously until his uncle Rev Rwambiwa discovered his gift and started grooming him while going to Assemblies of God.

Prophet Rwambiwa said as he grew up he started to be invited by various colleges and companies for motivational speaking. He then helped a pastor form a church before he moved to Manicaland where he decided to also form his own church leading to the birth of Greater Grace International Church, which is only one-and-a-half years now.

He is a businessperson with more than 10 properties and is planning on building a 3 000-seater church in Harare. He also wants to construct a two-storey house in one of the leafy suburbs of Mutare.

He is not much into cars but he has given out more than 14 cars including a Mercedes Benz that he gave out to his senior pastor Shepherd Kutsirai. With his wife Prophetess Sibusisiwe Rwambiwa who owns a clothing company, they are taking care of 14 orphaned families and are planning to venture into Real Estate business.

Guided by the belief that a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle, his vision is to speak the purposes of God and to build people’s dreams in this generation and the generation to come through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He said he preaches salvation first before deliverance. “I preach two hours or more and prophesy for 30 minutes. I believe people should know their source of salvation first before they are delivered,” he said. Prophet Rwambiwa also said through the grace of God he has managed to stand tall and strong in the face of several serious spiritual attacks, insults and name calling from rivalry prophets. He said some have been sending women to try and destroy him but they usually end up confessing after he prophesies them.
