The bad blood between Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD) founder Walter Magaya and sections of the Vapostori sects has reached unprecedented levels as the Vapostori are seriously pushing for Prophet Magaya’s arrest.

This follows a damning dossier compiled by the Vapostori awaiting presentation to their leader Bishop Johannes Ndanga this week.

The contents of the dossier are headlined by scathing allegations against Magaya who is being accused by the Vapostori of alleged murder, mineral smuggling, infidelity and culpable homicide.
Prophet Magaya in BIG trouble faces ARREST, database of criminal activities compiled!
“We have compiled all the cases in which Magaya was involved in criminal activities. We will soon present the documents to the President of the Apostolic Church Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ) Bishop Johannes Ndanga. We want the police to investigate him. We have people who are willing to testify against him,” said one of the members of the apostolic sect who crafted the damning document.

When contacted for comment, Ndanga said at law, he had no authority to act, but said he was eagerly waiting for the document and will duly advise the authors on measures to take. He said he will hand over the dossier to the government since ACCZ has no power to investigate and arrest.

“We have nothing against Walter Magaya. He is just a young man who is trying to survive. I heard about the report but I am yet to see it. I will advise our members accordingly once I get hold of it,” he said.

Ndanga went on to accuse Magaya of using goblins to heal people. He pulled a shocker when he claimed that Magaya is a sangoma!

“He dabbles in many things. He is a music promoter, a traditional healer and a pastor,” he said.

The Apostolic sect members also want Magaya to be investigated for his bouncers’ alleged irate behaviour of beating up people.

Some of the cases that are in the dossier include the mysterious death of Chipo Chakanyuka, who was the Chief Usher in Prophet Magaya’s church.

Kombi hwindis (touts) and night club patrons in Warren Park have disclosed that Chipo was a well known prostitute in Warren Park before she unexpectedly became a senior official in Prophet Magaya’s church. Even Prophet Magaya himself reportedly told the media last year when Chipo’s death first grabbed headlines that she was a prostitute.

“I helped Chipo change her life; she was a stripper in beer halls and I helped her change her life. I can’t have an affair with someone and do miracles that I do,” Magaya was quoted in another newspaper as having had said while denying that Chipo was his girlfriend.

Chipo is said to have “committed suicide” in a Botswana prison under unclear circumstances after she was allegedly “found in possession of three pieces of gold” while on church business together with a fellow congregant, Cathrine Nyangoni.

“The parents of the deceased are still bitter. They are willing to give their side of the story,” reads part of the dossier.

Meanwhile Chipo , before her demise, reportedly told her mother, Tambudzayi Chakanyuka, that she was dating Prophet Magaya and that the self styled man of God had promised to buy her a car and build a house for her.
Meanwhile, Vapostori also want Prophet Magaya to be investigated for the deaths of eleven people who died at his Kwekwe crusade and the death of a Mt Darwin boy.

Magaya got himself in hot soup after he touched a raw nerve when he accused the apostolic sect of using the marine spirits and further accused them of being demon possessed.

In his book titled Marine Spirits, Mweya Yemumvura: Teaching by Prophet W. Magaya, the preacher claimed that Vapostori, as the apostolic sect is known, are Satanists who use power derived from spirits that reside in the marine kingdom and that they do not believe in the bible.

The Vapostori immediately responded by claiming that the maverick preacher derives his powers from snakes which they allege have been often found at his church. They also claimed that Prophet Magaya’s anointing oil is part of the oil which Magaya uses as shelter for his alleged ritual snakes.

Prophet Magaya, however has said he is unfazed by the attack on his person by the Vapositori and any of their associates, possibly Zanu PF, as his message was from God.

“I do not say things from my head, but God has instructed me to deliver that message, hence I did so. God knows the reason why he sent me with that type of message, hence I am not worried about what society might say,” Magaya said.

We however thank Prophet Magaya for publishing his book because that has opened a can of worms on how churches are now being run in Zimbabwe and other African countries. Source: MyZimbabwe/ Standard
