JOHANNESBURG – Centurion police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an attempted murder-suicide in Rooihuiskraal.
This after a man shot and wounded his ex-girlfriend’s lover before turning the gun on himself.
It’s understood the 47-year-old man arrived at his ex-girlfriend’s house on Monday, fired several shots at her partner and then killed himself.
The wounded 50-year-old man is recovering in the Kalafong Hospital in Atteridgeville.
Police spokesperson Ann Poortman said officers believed the suspect waited in his car outside the woman’s house for about 12 hours before the attack.
“A case of attempted murder and an inquest have been opened. An investigation is underway.”
