Things aren’t looking good for Bobbi Kristina Brown.
“It’s now a matter of when the family wants to let go and accept that she’s pretty much not going to make it,” a source closely connected to the situation told FOX411, adding that doctors have expressed that there is little they can do. “They’ve left it up to the family as to how long they want to keep her alive.”
Earlier this week, reports emerged that the situation involving the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was particularly weak and her brain function was “alarming low” after being placed in a medically-induced coma.
However, we’re told that Bobby Brown is remaining hopeful and rallying others to stay uplifted – refusing to acknowledge the worst-case scenario.

Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, legal counsel for Bobby Brown, told FOX411 late Tuesday that they are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina, adding that contrary to media reports, the young performer has never been married to Nick Gordon.
“We continue to request privacy in this matter. Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time,” Bobby Brown added in a statement.
A man previously arrested on drug distribution charges was the friend who, along with Gordon, discovered Bobbi Kristina Brown face down in a bathtub, unresponsive on Saturday. Police officials said that Gordon immediately began administering CPR before paramedics arrived.
According to MyFoxAtlanta, Maxwell Byron Lomas is named in an incident report as one of the people police encountered when they responded to a drowning.
Citing Fulton County Jail records, MyFoxAtlanta revealed Lomas was arrested as recently as Jan. 14 and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Alprazolam and possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.
Brown was rushed to a hospital in Northern Atlanta on Saturday. TMZ has reported that she has since been relocated to another hospital, although the details as to when and why remain unclear.
The incident bears an eerie resemblance to the death of Brown’s mother almost three years ago in Beverly Hills. Houston, then 48, who had struggled for years with drug addiction, was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The official cause of death was labeled accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use deemed contributing factors.
“Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family,” a family statement said Monday. “We are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time.”
A representative for Bobbi Kristina did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Just last Thursday, the 21-year-old tweeted her excitement about continuing in her late mother’s footsteps, and her excitement to “get this career started already.” A well-placed insider later told FOX411 that the budding performer was planning to record a tribute album to her mom with her father this year.
