HE TARGETS young girls and asks them to help him collect wood in the veld. Then he takes off their clothes, tells them to close their eyes and puts a vibrator in their punanis. Cops are looking for the man who was seen with three young girls on Saturday before he ran away from an angry crowd.
Police in Lenasia, south of Joburg said this is the third such case. The man targets girls from the Thembelihle and Lehae squatter camps in the area. A resident said: “We are not sure if the man penetrated the girls.”
Cops were arranging yesterday for doctors to examine the girls and for them to get counselling. The father of one of the girls, who may not be named, said: “I don’t understand why he would use a vibrator on children. I suspect he prepares them before penetrating them.”
One girl said: “He told us he will pay us R8 each if we help him collect wood in the veld. We were shocked when he undressed us.”
She said the suspect threatened to shoot them if they didn’t follow his orders.
“He told us to close our eyes and lie down,” she said.
One of the girls said the man put the vibrator between her legs and was about to push it into her punani when she heard people screaming “catch him!”
The man ran away and disappeared in the bush. An angry resident say they’ll hunt him.
“Where must our children play? Are we now supposed to lock our children in our houses because someone might harm them? This is not right, but one day is one day.”
The SunTeam visited the spot the girls were taken to and found a panty lying on the ground. Nearby were condoms, some of them used. Local community policing chairman Alwell Radebe said he would take the panty to the police.
