A South Carolina woman has been arrested after she stole a Bible from a Walmart. Frances Thomas plucked the items from the Spartanburg, S.C., retailer, where she was soon stopped by detectives and taken to county jail. The Bible was ‘resellable,’ according to police.
Frances Thomas put the Good Book in her purse while shopping inside the store in Spartanburg. Light-fingered Thomas also stole some cheese and socks.
Thomas was stopped by store detectives after leaving the store and booked into the county jail, reports The Smoking Gun.
The Bible was recovered and “are resellable,” said police. New York Daily Times
