A MASVINGO woman raped a 15 year old boy after she threatened to stab the minor with a knife, Magistrate Langton Ndokera heard on Tuesday.
Beatrice Midzi (20) is facing charges of aggravated indecent assault as defined in section 66 of the Criminal Law Code and Reform Act chapter 923 that prohibits sexual intercourse with an underage person.
Prosecutor Fidelicy Nyamukondiwa told the court that on 23 of November this year around 9 pm, Midzi waited for the boy ( name withheld), employed as shop attendant at a tuck shop in Bhani Business Center, to knock off for the day.
Nyamukondiwa said the woman secretly followed the boy to his cottage before she pushed the minor inside his room and produced a knife threatening to stab him to death if he did not follow her orders.
Midzi then ordered the boy to remove all his clothes and gave him a condom to wear before she forced him to have sex with her.
In mitigation Midzi denied the allegations and told the court that she is being framed by an unnamed minor’s female guardian whom she said she was sharing a man with.
Midzi was remanded in custody to 22 December after Magistrate Ndokera ruled that she might abscond trial or influence the boy to withdraw charges given they reside in the same compound.
