A SMALL house who had dragged her lover’s wife to court for assaulting her, was left with egg on the face after a Bulawayo magistrate ordered her to delete the cheating husband’s contacts on her mobile phone. Lucia Ndlovu (40) was also ordered to stay away from Linder Maposa’s husband.

“Stay away from other people’s husbands; look for your own husband. I want you to delete her husband’s phone number. Do not even get close to both of them,” ruled Mrs Sibongile Msipa.

Although things turned out badly for the complainant, Ndlovu, it was tears of joy for the accused, Maposa (41), who was cautioned and discharged for assaulting the complainant.

Maposa appeared before Mrs Msipa on a charge of assault as defined by Section 89 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23.

She pleaded guilty to the charges and begged for forgiveness.

“I forgive you, go back to your husband,” the magistrate ruled.

State allegations against Maposa were that on 22 October 2014 and at 6.30pm, the complainant was along Fife Street between 5th and 6th Avenue waiting for a bus to ferry her to Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport where she lives.

Prosecutor Mr Charles Danda had added that, when the bus came and the complainant was about to board, the accused, who was already in the bus, rushed to the door and pushed the complainant off the bus.

“She accused the complainant of having an affair with her husband,” Mr Danda said.

He added that the complainant did not fight back and did not sustain any injuries as a result of the push.
