Things are really heating up in ZANU-PF with hundreds of war veterans and ZANU-PF youths from all over Zimbabwe’s ten provinces gathered here at ZANU-PF Headquarters, Jongwe House to protest against Vice President Mujuru. They are baying for her blood, calling for her ouster from the party and government.
Heavily Armed police have been deployed to keep an eye on the situation.
The rowdy youths are demanding that the Armed Police should vacate Zanu_pf HQ. Some of the placards being wielded by the youths scream “Jabulani Sibanda is a puppet of Dr 10$” Meanwhile a highly explosive Politburo meeting is scheduled today and the Vice President’s alleged shenanigans will be on the top of the agenda. President Mugabe had been expected to resolve the ‘hot potato’ at last week’s Politburo meeting but a nasty power outage from ZESA scuttled the meeting.
In addition, outgoing Women’s League boss, Oppah Muchinguri asked for
more time to compile a report of Dr Amai’s ‘meet the people’ rallies
where she made the serious allegations against of corruption and fanning
factionalism against the VP.
Sources however say the gloves are off this time and Mujuru’s head will
be ‘chopped’ off for daring to conspire against formidable Mugabe. This
theory is given credence by President Mugabe’s rare outburst when he was
opening the eight session of parliament. He said he was aware of plots
by ‘political toddlers’ who wanted to remove him from power. He however
said he would definitely crush the rebels because he had no intention to
give up on his job as yet.
