The beleaguered Leader of the Vapostori sect of Budiriro who butchered Anti Riot Police and Journalists, Madzibaba Ishamae Mufani has now escaped to South Africa after successfully evading Police who were frantically hunting for him. Madzibaba Ishamae had been on the run ever since the debacle.
Officials from his church whospoke on condition of anonymity said Mufani landed in South Africa safely in Rustenburg in the north province.
The officials said he was assisted together with his family by church members to escape via the Beitbridge Border post.
Mufani is wanted by the Police, while 25 other members of the sect have appeared before the courts several times and are currently out on bail.
