Grammy-winning American R&B singer, songwriter, and pianist John Legend, has cancelled his show in Zimbabwe, which had been scheduled for November in the capital Harare.
The announcement was made on Legend’s official website although no reasons were given. Despite the cancellation his other shows in Cape Town on 16 and 17 November as well as Durban, on 21 November, and Johannesburg on the 22nd will still go ahead.
Legend was meant to perform at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on November 19 in a concert that was put together by Davies Events. Legend, who was born John Roger Stephens, had even announced his maiden tour of Zimbabwe on Facebook.
“Hey Zimbabwe! I am excited to announce the addition of a show on November 19 in Harare at the Rainbow Towers Hotel and Conference Centre,” he posted at the time.
