Mystery Facebook blogger Baba Jukwa has granted an exclusive interview to Nehanda Radio after we sought clarification on the arrest of Sunday Mail editor Edmund Kudzayi and the police hunting down several suspects over the page.
We asked whether the security of the page had been compromised given that as part of the stringent bail conditions Kudzayi was ordered to surrender the password to a Gmail account – babajukwa2013@gmail.com to investigating officer Assistant Commissioner Chrispen Makedenge.
We asked whether people still had confidence to send information given the events of the past months. How can he assure them that the page remains safe and secure for them to use to send sensitive and confidential information?
We also asked Baba Jukwa why the number of his or her posts has gone down significantly since Kudzayi was arrested? Going forward what is now the objective of the page. Below is the response from mystery blogger who has managed to cause chaos within President Robert Mugabe’s party.
“We are here to stay, there is no intelligence in Zimbabwe, 263Preeze team forward forever. Viva Pres. prof Jonathan Moyo 2018. We playing chess, check our matrix we have won in elevating Grace Mugabe. We started off with Amai Jukwa and then Baba Jukwa,” the blogger said.
“We sold these idiots a dummy, our main man Kennedy (Australian-based hacker) gave them what they wanted, access to our gmail account and they bought the game…hahahaha these fools.
“There was no hacking, we wanted money to keep us going and these fools thought our guy who we prepared documents as Kennedy sold them a dummy. Unfortunately Kudzayi also spent time posting on our page and was caught.
“Luckily there is no evidence linking him or any named suspects because these guys are hunting in a sand desert. We here to stay, Prof Moyo forward forever. We gave them passwords of our gmail not facebook page so people must not fear anything,” Baba Jukwa added.
In June President Mugabe branded Moyo a “devil incarnate” while accusing him of appointing editors of state-owned newspapers who were sympathetic to the opposition. Mugabe accused Moyo of using the government-controlled newspapers to sow divisions with the ruling Zanu PF party.
Mugabe also complained that Zanu PF had been infiltrated by “weevils” (a crop pest) bent on destroying the party from within. The Zanu PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa later urged party youths in Mutare to use gamatox (a lethal pesticide) to deal with the alleged “weevils”.
One of the editors appointed by Moyo is Edmund Kudzayi who was in charge at the Sunday Mail newspaper. Kudzayi was arrested in June this year on allegations that it was him and brother Philip who were running the Baba Jukwa page and had planned to topple the Mugabe regime using a so-called Gunda-Nleya Brigade. nehandaradio.com
