1754: Secretary for Administration, Cde Didymus Mutasa, gives vote of thanks saying what is left is for people to be merry as they dine.

1752: President Mugabe says today is for celebrating a violence free election. He raises concern with law and order as people are fighting each other including relatives and friends. He implores cadres to ensure that the forthcoming Zanu-PF youth conference is not violent urging men to stop violence against women as he ends his address.

1748: He says UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon has tried but has not been supported by the Security Council. That was a spoiler to international relations.

1746: He says there are suffering civilians in a small country like Gaza because Europe and America feel they won’t derive resources from that country. He says the West should not talk about human rights because they are continuously violating them. He says Hamas might have been firing rockets but the dispute must have been resolved through dialogue. Obama, Cameron and the whole of Europe are silent yet Israel is bombarding Palestine everyday including hospitals and UN centres.

1738: He said the West went for Gaddafi with support of some African countries yet Palestinians are being bombarded with more than 1300 killed so far yet they are not going to protect civilians in Palestine.

1735: “I’m surprised Africa is going back to the same people we reclaimed our land from. Yes they will agree to give funding but with conditions. I just don’t get it. Some countries’ budgets are funded from outside across Africa so you can’t raise voice against them. You end up voting against yourself.”

1732: “We were not unequally yoked with MDC but the whites who we reclaimed our land from. Amongst us there are people who also say we stole land from the whites all because they have been conditioned as a result of oppression.”

1730: “We’re now back where we where in April 1980. We are a free people and unfettered political party. These celebrations are because we had been unequally yoked with Tsvangirai and Mutambara even those who had failed to win anything wanted to dictate the likes of Welshman. That should never happen again. It happened because we had been divided but people have shown us that they want us to remain united.”

1726: “Yes people may say the economy is not grinding. But it takes time to grind. As long as you have the right people you know you are injecting resources into the economy and the machine will start to grind until it gets to the point we want.”

1723: “Wherever you export your product, is it product with value?Quantity is not enough but must have value added.”

1717: He said some programmes take long to fulfill, some must be fulfilled in the medium term and some must be fulfilled now. People need food.

1714: He said leaders from the people will never be above the people. He said the people had certain expectations and demands which leaders should meet.

1711: The President says Zanu-PF’s victory shocked the country’s detractors to the extent that they keep claiming that the elections were rigged despite the fact that they can’t explain where it took place.

1709: President Mugabe is now addressing the gathering.

1430: Invited guests have started arriving at the State House where the hosts, President Mugabe and First Lady Amai Grace, will lead in celebrations marking the first anniversary of Zanu PF’s resounding victory in the July 31, 2013 harmonised elections
